The organization welcomes volunteers to join our mission. Volunteers have the chance to make a life-changing impact on both themselves and the local community. Activities include; improving daily life in the community, offering one-on-one support in classrooms, teaching special skills and fostering meaningful relationships. Volunteers also get to immerse themselves in the local culture and explore the beauty of Rusinga Island.​ When you volunteer with us in Rusinga Island Kenya, you will create not only life changing experience for yourself but also add value to our local community and the organization as a whole. Our major goal is to give back to the community, provide access to quality education, healthy environment, economic and environmental services. Your time here will include working hard during the week to provide quality level of volunteering with plenty of time having fun in the evening and weekends.

 

Volunteering includes the following;

• Improving daily life in the community and access to education for our students .

• Provide more one on one person support in the classroom.

• Teaching or offering special skills of your own to the children and the community in general.

• Creating meaningful relationships and memories that last a lifetime with our students and community       members .

•  Immersing yourself in the community culture both in and outside the island. You can also have a tour to the museums, mausoleum, caves, sandy beaches, and have a visit to Ruma game reserve.

N/B- We have our volunteers guest house where our volunteers would reside during the period they would be in the school ( Island).
